At JEANBAG, we believe in giving back. Giving back to people and to our big blue planet. We do this in two ways…
Through our range of products made from recycled denim jeans, we directly help divert denim waste from landfill. We source our denim from local charity organisations with recycling operations like The Endeavour Foundation and the RSPCA. It’s our way of trying to help minimise textile waste ending up in our environment while supporting local community non-profit organisations.
Through our percentage of sales program we support organisations championing environmental change in land care, waterway management and recycling. As an approved and registered member of One Percent for the Planet, we donate 1% of all our sales to a network of non-profit organisations dedicated to protecting our big blue planet.
One of our main non-profit partners is Rainforest Rescue, who purchase high conservation value rainforest and protect its biodiversity through planting, maintenance and restoration. Through our 1% for the Planet donations, we are helping Rainforest Rescue plant rainforest seedlings to restore valuable and threatened Daintree rainforest. So far, Rainforest Rescue has restored more than 100 hectares of Queensland’s threatened Daintree Rainforest and planted over 250,000 trees.
“We’ve been JEANBAG fans right from the start. We like to support makers, original ideas and people who think outside the square. Our JEANBAG is a reminder of the good that people are doing in the world.”
